Those who have limited funds must be even more innovative and creative to be able to bring about great change. She/he also has a remarkable ability to get other people involved, driven by a strong conviction that it is possible to change the world.

To better the life of as many as possible around the world, every social entrepreneur must be able to inspire others. A valuable and appealing idea will get support by people in the community, who in turn will involve their own contacts. Thus, the social entrepreneurs are local agents of change. In the long run these ripples will create a grass-root movement of dedicated citizens – a prerequisite for true democracy.
Business ideas spread quickly around the world to meet the demand of the market, but since the market has not previously fueled the social sector, solutions to social problems often stay in one region, even if it could solve corresponding problems in other locations. But since social entrepreneurs are entrepreneurs, it is in their nature to spread their ideas and implement them where there is demand. Therefore, social entrepreneurship has a unique potential when it comes to tackling urgent social problems on a grand scale.
