Our Incubator

Our selected social entrepreneurs – our Playmakers – are invited to step in to our Incubator. The incubator is not a physical space, but a context where the social entrepreneurs get help to in turn help as many children and young people as possible. While in the Incubator, our Playmakers receive tools and support to develop and expand their ideas. They receive salary funding, advice and coaching, media exposure and marketing help.

The salary funding allows our Playmakers to focus full-time on developing their ideas and activities. But equally important is the support from some of the most outstanding representatives of companies in the Kinnevik Group, our partner, and from our extensive network. Having access to expertise in everything from business development to marketing, legal issues, marketing and communication, helps our Playmakers to grow to their full potential.

The Incubator contains:

• Salary funding during 1–3 years
• Media exposure and a blog platform.
• Mobile phone
• A national network
• Take-off meeting; an encounter between Playing for Change and the individual Playmaker that marks the beginning of year 1 in the Incubator. Together we identify and agree on goals and indicators.
• Accelerator; a supportive meeting twice a year with expert advisors from the Kinnevik Group. The accelerator will help the Playmaker and her/his idea to develop faster.
• Barrier Breaking session; an intensive problem solving workshop where our Playmakers meet with representatives – Problem Solvers, from Kinnevik Group’s senior management.
• Playmaker Sessions; an opportunity to develop skills and interact with other social entrepreneurs and persons from the public and non-profit sectors.
